In 2023, I was honored to serve as the Head of Promotion for the Civil Wrongs Exhibit Event Planning Committee at the Institute of Public Service Reporting, hosted at Urevbu Contemporary in Memphis, TN. This role not only allowed me to sharpen my event planning skills but also to engage deeply with a cause close to my heart—shedding light on Memphis's often overlooked historical injustices and their connection to ongoing issues like police brutality. Working closely with cross-functional teams, I focused on ensuring our branding and messaging were unified and impactful, while leveraging digital platforms and media partnerships to extend our reach. Coordinating with public relations and media outlets, we significantly boosted public engagement. This experience was immensely rewarding, enhancing my strategic planning and execution skills and deepening my commitment to driving meaningful social change.
